Katrina….. Poem by Matthieu (Mateo) Belinski

Katrina…..

Who would of thought that wind and rain
Could cause so much damage and
bring so much pain.

Homes destroyed, families broken,
and lives lost
Katrina came with a very heavy
cost.

Looters in the streets, kids without
shoes on their feet.
Families on the rooftops being beaten
by the heat.

And sadly we have no time
to mourn the victims killed.
We must focus on saving survivors
And how to rebuild

But if we pull together, we will
find a way,
To push through and move ahead
to a brand new day.

It is truly time to unite,
All for one and one for all.
Draw strength from God and
stand tall.

And please remember, there's always
someone who cares
We wish you the best and
you're in our prayers.
