Keep Rolling Poem by Victor Osorio

Keep Rolling

Rating: 2.8

I made a friend today
He's a short black guy
with little arms and little legs
He rides in a wheelchair
He came up to me
Talking to me like a friend
I could sure use one right now
He seems happy and full of life
Despite his handicap
He's enjoying every minute
It makes me think about my problems
Maybe I don't have it so bad
I wish he could walk one day
His advice, don't feel so sad
He listened to every word I would say
Worried that I might do myself harm
He reached in his pocket
and gave me a nickel for good charm
He was running late, he couldn't stay
I said thanks and bye
As I watched him roll away.
