Keepers Poem by Barbara Nixon

Keepers

Rating: 0.5

Majestic, imposing, gargantuan, sleepers

Nature's grand monuments, all seeing eyes,

transient beauty, everchanging with season,

eroded but flourishing in Earth's chosen time.

Caverns of memories, chronicling tales,

echoing dialects of long buried tongues,

Tragedy, Comedy, Conquest, Defeat,

replayed for eternity, perpetual theatre,

permanent audience of sandstone and time.
