Kennedy Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Kennedy

Kennedy

Don't wonder if I hate
-help from the US;
- (talk against!)

This comes of my childhood
-and when the USAID
-no matter what the name
-came and said: "Kennedy,
-Generously helping…"

We had had bad weather
-draught and much of rain
-floods came in mountains
-where we had our village.

We became displaced
-for city, we headed!

Came from the trucks
-flour, bags of rice
-in name of USA
-as well as slogans…

They favoured Washington,
-and a young president
-who sat in the White House!

No one thought or knew
-about the bridle
-that we wore around neck;
-and handcuffs and shackles
-as well as blindfolds…
-enslaved, less than dogs!

Capitulation
Capitulation
Capitulation

I hate the USAID
-for me and for others;
-see the chain in its helps!
