Kenyan Vision Poem by Kelvin Gathiru

Kenyan Vision

Kenyan leaders became misleaders,
And made us their loyal cheerleaders,
Blindly we became fools 'n' crusaders,
Being in their gatherings as pervaders,
We ain't dreamers we're masqueraders.

We are living a life without a meaning,
Assuming that Jesus is not returning,
And ignoring all the alarm bells ringing,
I've a vision of a better future coming,
Even if our citizen's dreams are fading.

One day I will tell my coming generation,
How our love and unity ended corruption,
How we eradicated poverty 'n' oppression,
Brought peace and stability to our nation,
My vision came true; It was not a fiction.
