I watch the water
The way it shimmers and sparkles
Reminding me of that summer
The summer you and I were inseperable
You would hold my hand as we walked along the beach
Remember that delightful day
The day you finally said those three words
Three words that changed my life forever
You pulled me too your chest
And looked deep into my eyes
'You are my world' you said
'I love u with all my being
Please be mine'
Now I sit here
Listening to your heart on the monitor
You grab my hand and look in my eyes
'I'm not gonna make it' you whisper
I feel the tears fall down my face
'Don't cry, my love' you whisper
'I will always be in your heart'
I lean in and kiss him one last time
'Good' I say
'Because you are the only one who will ever have the keys.
