we were happy together
nothing could interrupt our secret world
no-one could rip us apart
we were just kids in love

we could walk around
holding hands and hugging closely
heads bent close, talking quietly
we were just kids in love

our friends didnt mind us being wrapped up
couldnt take away our moments together
wouldnt bring that pain on us
we were just kids in love

we did it ourselves
drove a wedge between eachother
went our seperate ways
we were just kids in love

we never spoke about anything after
never saw eachother for years
never thought of the other
we were kids in love

and now we've come full circle
as we both fall back again
as we fall in over our heads once more
hey we're just kids in love
