King Arthur Poem by Ariana Love

King Arthur

Rating: 4.0

I am just a boy, how can this be true?
But neither Kay nor my father can pull the sword out too

Sir Ector's not my father, but really King Uther is
Merlin took me as a baby and gave me to be his

This is hard to believe, but if it is the truth
The I may as well accept it, and do my best as a youth

I will show those who doubt me, that I can be a good king
I will take good rule and peace to the land I'll bring

I cannot be defeated, I will never yield
I will never ask for mercy even without my shield

So I will fight with Pellinore, even if it means I die
I would rather that than say I'm an unworthy guy

But Merlin comes to save me, and introduces to my new sword
Excalibur and it's scabbard, to use when my health's restored

Now I understand that too much pride doesn't help you out
Like the scabbard's more important, because it makes sure blood doesn't spout
