Kingdom Minded Poem by Matthew Buck

Kingdom Minded

When this world tries to knock me down,
I turn to The One, who wears the crown,
From thorns to gold it transformed,
Defeating death I've been reborn!

Gotta stay Kingdom Minded, obeying the King.
Whatever is right, pure and noble,
I think of these things.
Gotta stay Kingdom Minded,
prepared for attack,
The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy,
So this is how I fight back.

Through my trials and through my tears,
I look to Jesus to calm my fears,
Wonderful Counselor and Prince of Peace,
Your Kingdom rein will never cease!

Gotta stay Kingdom Minded, obeying the King.
Whatever is right, pure and noble,
I think of these things.
Gotta stay Kingdom Minded,
prepared for attack,
The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy,
So this is how I fight back.

Naked, beaten half dead in a gutter,
There's only One Name that makes the demons shudder,
The Name above all Names, every knee shall bow
Soothe my wounds, Lord I need you now

You are my God, You are my Rock,
Be my guide, as I ask seek knock.
I love you Lord, I want to see your face.
Baptize me now in a flood of Grace

Gotta stay Kingdom Minded, obeying the King.
Whatever is right, pure and noble,
I think of these things.
Gotta stay Kingdom Minded,
prepared for attack,
The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy,
So this is how I fight back.
