My Romans 7 Poem by Matthew Buck

My Romans 7

I lie, I lust, I steal and I cheat,
I am but filthy rags at your feet.
Why do I do the things that I do?
When I know that they will never please you.
I am so glad your forgiveness never comes to an end,
My Father, my Savoir, my Redeemer and Friend.

When I think that all is at loss,
I dropp to my knees and remember the Cross.
The blood that was shed, the price that has been paid,
There in a cold, dark, damp tomb your body laid.
Until three days later, with a command from above,
You conquered the grave, and showed us your love.

I may not be perfect, I still may sin,
But because of you my new life can begin.
I do things that I know are sometimes wrong,
That is why I am singing You this forgiveness song.
I am so glad Your Saving Grace never comes to an end,
Emanuel, Jehovah, EL-SHADDAI and friend.

When I think that all is at loss,
I dropp to my knees and remember the Cross.
The blood that was shed, the price that has been paid,
There in a cold, dark, damp tomb your body laid.
Until three days later, with a command from above,
You conquered the grave, and showed us your love.

I am a sinner, and do things that I shouldn't do,
That is why I call on Jesus to come to my rescue.
There is no other that could have anguished your strife,
I owe You everything, Lord, I give you my life.
I am so glad you are here from the beginning till end,
Alpha, Omega, EL-ELYON and friend.

When I think that all is at loss,
I dropp to my knees and remember the Cross.
The blood that was shed, the price that has been paid,
There in a cold, dark, damp tomb your body laid.
Until three days later, with a command from above,
You conquered the grave, and showed us your love.
