She takes with her all the light in the universe;
And leaves me in darkness and in utter confusion;
I clutch my chest in ultimate fear of losing;
The only thing that can persuade me into submission.
Every kindness, every grace, every little happiness;
Whatever that blooms in my sullen world is filched away;
Each sorrow and grief that threats to crawl and suffocates;
She plucks and twists and grinds them grey.
I clutch my chest and know what has been taken;
I truly feel the hollow pain of wrecking frost;
She’s a kleptomaniac, and she has stolen my heart;
And everything with it, I’m dumfounded and lost.
