Knees. Poem by Rob Roselund

Knees.

As he drops to his knees,
He can feel his wounds bleed,
As he looks up all he see's is his seed,
So he stands like a man,
He just want's to be free,
As he's on his way up,
They knock him down but please believe,
When I tell you that he try's,
But on the inside it's like he's not even alive,
And yet he strives for a better life,
But in his back he's holding knives,
From the haters slinging lies,
Until he walks into the light,
He knows he can't give up the fight,
Just to make it one more night,
Until he see's the morning light,
He needs to live just out of spite.
