Knight wearing shining black,
Cape full of falling stars,
Shadows hover about,

It seems it’s all dark,
No light just a black hole,
And a dark moon,

But inside,
Deep inside,
Here is a watcher that watches you sleep,
Keeps you safe,
As you sleep,

There when nightmares fill your dreams,
When the stars are not out,
When the sun has gone down,

If you only see darkness,
You only see a shadow,
A black dog like a shadow that follows you so,
And sits beside you when you morn,
If you are crying he is howling,
Because he is only a shadow that watches you fall,

But when the dark comes,
Here is a Knight in shining black
Watching you as you sleep,
And keeping nightmares at bay...
