Knock Knock Poem by The Rks

Knock Knock

Knock knock,
Thought you would be at my door

Looked at my walls, painted with your words,
We talked
We talked each day, every single night

Never thought, it could be ended in that way
That we once laughed at,
Those who we never wanted to be and we became one of them,

Tick tock,
My heart's beats knocked at a door,
That stole its key,
Its chords, you played them all on your guitar,

As my soul sang a blue song,
That turned our feelings into such burning colours

Cold eyes, carried my pieces yet left the one behind,
That I merely gave it all to, that I ever had

Honestly, heavenly it felt like
When I put my heart where you stepped in,

Thought you would pick it up but alas!
You set it on fire as I did to my soul
That you once loved,

Lame, were those jocks, you cracked
Now woe is me that I cry like a lone wolf
When those memories hit,

Here I am but nowhere is my soul
Since it left me all alone,

And again with the same ache, come play your game
Get me back to where we were 'cause on the earth, There's no place I could replace you,

Save me from who you turned me into,
Shut the doorway of your heart before someone else knocks at,

Darling, if you and I can't be us in this life
Then search for me in your next.
