Knock-Knock... Poem by Derry Dose

Knock-Knock...

Someone's knock has startled me,
Lock those doors or he will come,
Stay as quiet and shut your mouth,
Make no noise or he will know,
The truth behind those fragile doors,
Not to let him know a single thing,
The culprit heart behind those doors,
Keep your breathing to your core,
Try to lure or skip his sight,
Shh...shhh...or he will fight,
Pin drop silence is all we hope,
Keep it mute and just you cope,
Those red blood eyes and spooky ears,
The creature's hands are deadly spears,
Keep it quiet or he will know,
He will kill us for the rest of life,
Keep it quiet or he will know,
Just keep it still,
don't let him dare,
If he comes we will die,
So keep it silent or we will cry,
Keep it quiet or he will know,
He will know,
he will know...
