Dear Dr Bhattacharyay, Thanks for your invite to read and comment on your poem 'kolkata burning'. Its a pen- picture of the incident drawn by very few words that connotes more than the eyes meet. In the middle of the poem two lines 'fire was here fire was there' remind me of Coleridge's line from the rhyme of the ancient mariner. nicely done. Last four lines convey the message very quitely. Recent fire disaster in Kolkata a dolt stupe…inertia of the personnel…and costs about 30 lives…when Disaster –Managements will be shake off their 'secondless' phlegmatic…mindset…?
