Kylie (For A Friend) Poem by Amanda Jackson

Kylie (For A Friend)

A kiss of beauty can contain
The embellishment of glory
Or the modesty of pain.
Within these boundaries truth is revealed.
Throughout each of our souls, our virtue is sealed.

A mind can wander and the flesh may tarry
But when you falter, your heart I will carry
Together we are honest, purge all deceit.
In fortunate times or not, my bounty is at your feet.

A companion and a confidant
My partner and my friend
From the beginning of memory
Until memory meets no end.

The poem succeeds in its intent, I think. I am beginning to grow fond of your works, you have my respect.
