La Femme Eileen - Poem by Atef Ayadi

Woman!
Tenderness
Dissolves
Through
Your eyes' glance
Like a young water stream
That makes its way
To catch the Mississippi.

Time,
Space,
Big towns,
Villages,
Corn and soybean fields,
Desert and dunes,
The Atlantic,
The Caspian Sea,
Dissolve
At the edge
Of your lips.
