Labour Day 2016 Poem by Colonel Muhamad Khalid Khan

Labour Day 2016

I took birth on the labour day
I travelled like a tiny light ray
With my sincerity I will but say
For my nation I will price to pay

My sincerity will lead me to right
I am not afraid of my miserable plight
My physical sight leads me to insight
Being glorious to the ultimate height

My labour is my identity and hallmark
Which encounters every way in the dark
In ocean of life on every step there is shark
My heart carries wisdom of a religious clerk

Relentless effort takes me to the right path
I am ready to encounter every cruel wrath
My hell is in me like a real burning hearth
My work is my candle and I am the moth
