Chic women on Sheridan Road
bedecked in mink and sable
diamond pendants dangling
from delicate earlobes
dressed oh! so au courant
from crown to dainty feet
shod in supple style
Like proud queens escorted
by deferential help
they glide down gilded staircases
to limos idling silkily
in driveways that circle
round palatial grounds
to disappear into the velvet night!
Oh! how we envy their royal estate!
