Ladies. You'Re Queens And Princesses (Spoken Word) Poem by Paul Elenora

(for my ladies out there)

I have done things I aren't proud of
made mistakes I couldn't admit
I was feeling alright cos everyone was doing them
I thought I was being real
but that me can't even stand the real me

I did stuffs I saw others done
I wanted to feel among the crowd
then I told my self the lie
'it's all good.'

now don't get me wrong
that got me friends
don't feel me yet
that got me fans

I thought I was being the queen
but I was. only puppet of the on game
I was feeling royal
but I wasn't even loyal to the name

this is not a rhythm to opt your blues
it's a story to break your rules
see.....!

being a queen is not how many friends you got on facebook
being a queen is not how long and loyal you've been to your game
being a queen is not how much of the girl on your fb list you wanna imitate
or the girl on the tv you wanna be

look, I once thought to be queen I had to be all this and even more
but what I didn't understand was this...

a kingdom is not just a kingdom of one person
while I looked for the real me in the unreal world
and strove to be just ok

I am royal! !
now don't be deceived.
I don't leave in a castle
my parents don't wear crowns
nor do I wear glass shoes and royal gowns

here's the point...
I have a father who is king and ruler over all
king and big
royal and subjects
small and big
you and I

I didn't start building my inner queen until I realized who I am and where I came from
I didn't start feeling royal until I knew who my father was
and who my prince is
I am not just a queen
I am a princess and a
royal priesthood
I am my fathers possession

now I don't need your approvals to feel approved
now I don't need friends and being reserved a sit at a party to measure my worth
I don't let being the girl with the most attention control my emotions

now this is for all of my ladies out there
find. the real you and be it
be GOD'S queen
be the outstanding woman
be original
attract a king (if necessary)
don't settle for less than a queen should
don't forget
you are a princess and a servant of GOD
