Lady Poem by Kayode Ogunleye

Lady

Rating: 5.0

A beautiful flower
Blooming in a sunny world
Twinkling like a star in the sky
Chaste in mind and body
All men long to touch her
As soon as it is plucked
Off goes the beauty
Nobody wants her any more
When she complains,
She’s thrown out for others
To pick and drop
Like the first time

Wonderful. Empathetic and compassionate, without being stilted or flowery.
