Lady On The Street Poem by rashmi pradeep kumar

Lady On The Street

The poor lady on the street,
O, poor, poor lady …
She begs for food and money,
She collects little, useful things
From the garbage we throw out;
Thus, she makes her living.

She works very hard,
Does not take any shelter
In rain or sunshine
Everyday she prays
to her Saviour,
For an end to all her troubles.

Until, one day …
Her Saviour could no longer
Bear her sadness.
And so, He sent for her;

Asking her to leave
This cruel world;
And join Him
In his kingdom.
