Land Of Ages Past Poem by Kitsune Raven

Land Of Ages Past

The earth is no betrayer of man
Man is the betrayer of the land
The earth is no transmogrifier
Man, transmogrifies the land
Twisting and turning, bending her very nature.
She is unable to recognise what she has become.
Yet these ignorant sons of men lay blame on the noble lady.
Be still!

You ignorant sons of the broken pot!
Be still, go seek the lore of truth from your faithless fathers
Fathers who were sons of little faith, little love— how could they be blamed, after all, they were birthed under a loveless sun.
Thus, they hoped for little and amounted to little.
Sons of the earth, daughters of the night sky.
Lay claim to your broken land,
Lay claim to our broken hearts.
Today I become one with the earth, the land, and the skies above my head.
Teach me your ways,
I pledge my fealty
