Lands Of Peace Poem by Hassan Adnan

Lands Of Peace

Be upon the seas like the feather.
So weightless and delicate, no tide to track its trail no sea to swallow its grail.
Neither owned by its weight nor by any dues.
Smoothly crusing through the crude.
To what benefit is its existance to the sea and its devouring fears,
rejected by the sea as dearth.
But steads by the solemn pace,
through the dawns and the dusks,
winds and the storms,
step by step closing the gaps to where the journey belongs.

Only such million feathers makes a bird which can carry us to the lands of peace.
