Languages Of India Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Languages Of India

Languages and dialects of India, how to survey them for a study? How were they in the past, how are they now in the present?
Indo-Aryan, Austro-Asiatic, Tibeto-Chinese, Dravidian stocks spanning some particular landscapes of cartography.
While mapping the areas as language belts, speeches and dialects change from region to region.
The north-east is tribal and exotic and alien though Assamese is different from the dialects so many doing the rounds.
Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, what to say about the Dravidic languages which understand I not.
Punjabi, Haryanvi, Cchatishgarhi, I can a bit, Gujarati, Marathi, Rajasthani, I can sense something anyhow.
Magadhi, Angika, Maithili, Bhojpuri, I can understand, may speak in one of these.
Braj, Awadhi, how to narrate it, Hindustani mixed with Arabic and Urdu and Persian?
The Oriya of Orissa, I can hear just like Bengali and Assamese, but cannot speak in.
