Last Day Of The Year Poem by Tina Baaklini

Last Day Of The Year

My love,

It's the last day of the year
Can't believe you are here
I waited so long for this moment
Befriending patience in contentment

With you I'm back to life
After overcoming the strifes
After few storms I survived
Now as a flower I bloom and thrive

With you I feel back to roots
The roots of the same soul we share
The roots of the heart beating in the two of us
Of our soulful love to which nothing compares

The sky is lit as Van Gogh's Starry Night
Eyes immersed in each other
We welcome the new year together
Sharing vows, but this time forever
