Last Kiss 2 Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Last Kiss 2

Last kiss, bittersweet and final embrace
A tender moment frozen in time's grasp
The memories flood, tears stream down my face
As I recall our love now just a gasp
The taste of your lips lingers on my own
An intoxicating blend of love and pain
I wish this moment could forever be shown
But alas, it must come to an end, in vain
We once held each other with such ardor
But now our love has withered and decayed
Like petals falling from a fading flower
Leaving nothing but memories to aid
Oh how I long for one more fleeting touch
But last kiss, you were meant to be the crutch
Our love was like a flame, fierce and bright
But now it's but a flicker of its past
The last kiss, a symbol of our plight
A love that's doomed, too fragile to last
In that one moment, all the love we shared
The passion, the laughter, the tears we shed
Seem to come crashing down, I am ensnared
By the pain of goodbye, my heart now bled
But as we part, I'll hold on to this last kiss
A memory of love, too precious to dismiss
Farewell my love, our time has come to end
But this last kiss, forever it shall stay
A reminder of a love that once did mend
But now it's time for us to go our way
And as I walk away, I'll keep in mind
That last kiss, a love that was once so kind.
