Last Letter Poem by Paritosh Dhawan

HERE is the scene: the guy loves a girl but the girl is with someone else. After waiting for long when he couldn't move on nor get her, he decides to break every type of connection with her. This how his last letter follows -

To my world,
I know you are there somewhere sitting happily in a corner of this earth
In someone's arms which could have been mine but you didn't find them worth
I wouldn't start again with things like i love you & things which includes 1,3 & 4
Coz these aren't going to matter now when these never mattered to you before
Smile girl, i am not after your life, i just want to be with you
In a way in which someone else is there with you
This letter is not like the others which you have read
I am writing this with pen of my life and its ink is going to be dead
don't worry i am not going anywhere, i am not leaving
Its just that for sometime I'll take rest and stop breathing
Right now i am feeling in peace as all my pain is being penned down on paper
World will laugh and will say that couldn't find any other place safer
I can compare my life so far with a roller coaster ride
It had up and downs, slow and fast turns. I smiled laughed and cried
Thanks to you for this wonderful experience, i would come back for it again
i hope to see you there, just the journey and ending shouldn't be the same

ONE THING THAT I WANT YOU TO KNOW
I'll die of the pain of distance which breathes between us
