evidence of pain
as we cross into the night
away move the stars
never shining so bright
we try to forget that morning will come
anticipation of the sun soon to rise
brings you to be so honest
with tears arising in your eyes
stars will never look the same
without a connect the dot game
clouds will never look the same
without you giving them a special name
the sun is peeking out behind the clouds
evidence of pain
as we cross into the day
never wanted you to go
but you say you can not stay
