Late At Night Poem by Kelly Jacobson

Late At Night

Late at night,
When the world is sleeping,
When the stars are twinkling,
When others are dreaming,
When the moon is out,
When it is deathly quiet,
When the slightest noises are magnified,
I'm thinking of you

Late at night,
When I say I love you for the final time,
When I turn off all the lights,
When I'm about to fall asleep,
When my eyelids are getting heavy,
When I slowly go into unconsiousness,
When I think about my day for the last time,
I know that I'll dream of you.

And I'll wish upon a star,
That you'll dream of me too.
