Laura Poem by Allyson Gordon

Laura

Rating: 4.5

Laura you’re amazing,
I can’t even begin to explain;
How you touched so many lives
Though you were in so much pain

I don’t think I ever saw you
Without a smile on your face,
Your optimism and positivity
No one can replace

No matter where you were,
Or what you were going through
You always put on a brave face
That’s one thing I admired about you

Everyone says your smile is incredible,
I have to agree with them too,
Because every time you’d smile
You’d light up the whole room

You inspired so many people
Even those who you weren’t close to
For your positivity would radiate out
And touch everyone in the room

So many people will miss you
Now that you are gone
But I want you to know
Your memory will live on

When we sent your ashes out to sea
We said our last good byes,
We prayed you were at peace now
Then we all dried our eyes

There has always been a sunset at joyous times in your life,
And you loved sunsets too,
So whenever we see a sunset,
Laura we will always think of you.
