Leave Me Be Poem by Allyson Gordon

Leave Me Be

Shadows lurking in the darkness
Watching my every move
Can’t you see I’m dying here?
What do I have to prove?

Can’t you leave me be?
Let me fade away, please
I can’t stand to be here
My soul I want to release

The day has come
Myself I will be
My scars I will bare
For all to see

I’m packing my bags
And leaving for good
Will you try to stop me?
Would you save me, if you could?
