Emotions, unbridled, are
like red-hot lava streams which,
to be of any use, must first cool down
and turn into rich, fertile earth, but even then
still hot enough in places which, when trod upon,
may burn much more than skin and, unless quenched
by understanding and forgiveness,
might burn our souls,
