Lean On Me Poem by Julie Rodeheaver

Lean On Me

Rating: 4.7

I saw what she did to you
I saw how she ripped out
your heart and didn't care
how much you were hurting

Lean on me
I won't hurt you
like she did
I'll be here for you
I'll be your friend
I'll help you through the pain
Your heart will heal with time
If you just lean on me

I know there is a dark
hole in your heart
where the memories
of her lay and it hurts

Lean on me
I won't hurt you
like she did
I'll be here for you
I'll be your friend
I'll help you through the pain
Your heart will heal with time
If you just lean on me

I know there will be
days where you feel lonely
Like there is an empty
space left in your heart

Lean on me
I won't hurt you
like she did
I'll be here for you
I'll be your friend
I'll help you through the pain
Your heart will heal with time
If you just lean on me

I know these feelings
will last months even years
There will be days when
memories come flooding back
and all you can do is cry

Lean on me
I won't hurt you
like she did
I'll be here for you
I'll be your friend
I'll help you through the pain
Your heart will heal with time
If you just lean on me

I know one day you will
move on from her
You will find love again
With my help
the help of a friend
