Lean On Me Today Poem by Don Subba

Lean On Me Today

My heart goes out to you today,
A wounded heart with words to say.
I hope you know how much I care,
My dear friend, I'm always there.

I'm here whenever tears may fall,
You don't have to hide them all.
I'll hold you close, I won't ask why,
Just lean on me, and let them cry.

Lean on me today,
Lean on me today.
My dear friend, I'm here,
We'll make it through the fear.
Lean on me today,
Lean on me today.
Hold on to my hand,
Together we will stand.

My dearest friend, my love is true,
I'll walk this lonely road with you.
We'll face the storm, we'll find the light,
Until the morning shines so bright.

The sun will warm our hearts again,
Our faithful bond will never end.
I'll stay beside you all the way,
You can lean on me today.

Lean on me today,
Lean on me today.
My dear friend, I'm here,
We'll make it through the fear.
Lean on me today,
Lean on me today.
Hold on to my hand,
Together we will stand.

When the road feels cold and long,
I'll help you to stay strong.
When the night won't let you sleep,
My promise I will always keep.

Lean on me today,
Lean on me today.
My dear friend, I'm here,
We'll make it through the fear.
Lean on me today,
Lean on me today.
Hold on to my hand,
Together we will stand.
