Leave It Burried Poem by Jodie Hardy

Leave It Burried

Is there a secret you will leave untold,
Maybe an issue you'll just let go.
How afraid am I at speaking the truth,
Lifetimes of truths I've shrugged my shoulders at.
Now you tell me to move forward I have to re-examine through the wreckage of the past.
Stories buried so deep, so deep I can tread over them without feeling a thing.
Has the time arrived, to take them out and shake them, unfurl the petalssurrounding years of hurt?
Unleashing the poison with the power to burn the world down.
Like a volcano hidden under calm waters eventually angry hot lava will break through and forever evident, everyone can see thehardened rock above.
But this is something that must be done, I've to give it my everything in order for it to work.
Painful as it is…
