I'm leaving behind
This lonely place
In search of a new life
I can so gladly embrace

I'm packing my bags
And loading up the car
Headed out to explore
A world so far

I won't look back
Nor shed a sad tear
For I'm starting all over
A dream so dear

A new beginning
Down an unknown road
The start of a story
That will soon explode

I'll surely miss
Those familiar faces
And the comfort of
Home town places

But soon I'll meet
A whole new world
Faced with new life
Ready to unfurl

Filled with excitement
And as happy as can be
I'm leaving this place
Only thinking of me
