Leaving My Shattered Self Poem by Mohammad Younus

Leaving My Shattered Self

Leaving my shattered self,
I escape illusions' snare,
Delving into light,
I hope this peace will last.
I pass the fragrance to those
lost in pungent air,
Reaching for the breeze, I hear,
'I'll let it pass.'

My soul, once caught
in the maze of the mind's game,
Emerges through grace,
knowing the divine's embrace.
The journey tested me,
though it wasn't easy or fast,
But in the end, I won—
the light is mine at last.

Illusion, just a shadow,
a reflection never true,
It trailed behind me
until I was free,
Leaving now as a sailor
to go deep into the vast sea
like a ship on voyage, I realise
Even after roaming for whole life,
I cannot return because
It Is a shoreless sea!
