Leaving Never Poem by Kaitlin Schmidt

Leaving Never

Rating: 5.0

It always makes its way
Back into my mind
As if leaving is straying
And it must be mine

The thought eats me up
And makes me wonder
If I am not good enough
To have the love of another

I know it's not true
But it's hard to think differently
When I'm always looking for someone new
To fill the void inside of me

I can't place my finger
On what it could be
But it always seems to linger
I just want to be free

Free from the anger and worry
That I will be alone forever
And it's still lurking
In my mind leaving never
