Leaving You Was My Biggest Mistake - Poem by Aiko Neyce
Blood drips on the floor
What are you dying for?
Tears run down your face
Are you a mental case?
I watch you break down
Unbelievable, you've grown
How many years passed by?
Wasn't it better to say bye?
The blood is leaving you
Just like I did too
Believe me, I'm sorry
You always made me worry
I thought what I did was good
So I decided to leave the hood
I was a bad influence for you
Even though you said that wasn't true
You didn't care about my past
And you knew my knife was fast
I believed your good heart
That's why leaving was so hard
I was scared I'd hurt you someday
For my sins, I should pay
You never saw my bad side
That's why I have lied
Only you should never see my dark part
My heart was filled with black art
I didn't care about what others thought
But I know now, you also fought
Leaving you was my biggest mistake
Please tell me this blood is fake
I just realised that you needed me
So can we set each other free?
I'm reaching you my hand
Baby, can you stand?
I see your confused eyes
I'm sorry for my lies
The blood is still dripping on the floor
Now I know what you were dying for
I'm here now, I won't leave a second time
Maybe leaving you was my biggest crime
I don't care about my ugly part anymore
That's what we are human for
You need me and I need you
If I leave again, I'll take you too
