Two friends sat together
Thinking it was forever
Then one went away
And the other stayed

Picking up the pieces
She tried to find
An explanation for her state of mind
What was always two
Suddenly became one
Frightened to face the truth
She knew what had to be done

The memories had
Good and bad
Were held close to her heart
Now she had to make a new start

Impossible to forget
Love between friends
Yet
Life suddenly ends

Leaving one gone
And the other in pain
Having only the experience to gain

Living life alone
Was an experience unknown
But now the time has come
To say what is done is done

Time to say goodbye
Finally she cried
As she packs
She realizes she's never coming back
