Left Behind Poem by David Blake

Left Behind

Rating: 5.0

Through the veil of time I see you
out in the darkness lost looking for
me. Unaware of all things that
have come and gone I can’t feel
the pain and loss that at this
moment have been numbed by this
hallow vision dancing all alone in my
head. Not expecting anything but the
bitter aftertaste of regret, I savor this
moment. If only my hand could reach
out across the plains of some parallel
universe and hold you once again I
would gladly surrender my soul and its
immorality. Looking at you through the
glassy haze of eternity, I can’t help but
wonder why you can’t see me too.

Thank you for the positive feedback. I think this is tragic and beautiful
