Left Behind Poem by Selena Miranda

Why aren't you with me?
You lied
and left me all alone without you.
Left me
without emotions or care,
because you took them with you.
All the stuff
we lived together are now long gone.
You took them with you
when you closed the door and left me behind.
You closed the door,
and closed the door
on the best part of my life, you.
You walked through
that tunnel of light
and you never looked back, not once.
Now I am crying a storm,
crying my heart out for you.
But I don't know
what I am grieving for,
who I am crying for
because you took my understanding away,
and left me with an emptiness
that won't ever be filled again.
