Left Nothing Poem by Teresa Dearing

Left Nothing

Rating: 4.3

Young man's life is on the go,
No worry, wants, and no woe.
No plan, no care, or even past,
Party, party while it lasts.

Stay here, go there for a smile,
Bored or pressured runs a mile.
Never at peace, wanting the best,
Mad at God, resents the rest.

Sleep 'til you can sleep no more,
Wake up~party, out the door.
Nothing planned or thought about,
Friends, family will help you out.

Great your ability,
No responsibility.
This life is aging you,
Alone, lost, bitter the brew.

Lost your talents, lost your mind,
Erased life, left nothing behind.
Gone from memory~gone from time,
Nothing is left~but this sad rhyme.
