Les Finale - Poem by Jamie Dewyer

now to see birth again
frightened at first and forever till death us part
wings that get torn apart
flown into suns and to ashes a phoenix can
still believe shred of peace
might be saved by the seas
oceans have time for lies
alas...i do not

im sorry for bringing these scraps to your table
i know this is not what you had been hoping for
still i am sure you can
at least be rid of sin
purge and be clean again purge

what is left but mockery
trails into earth
and shale
snails hearts are wiser than
my gift burns the earth

im sorry
