shadowy mists
of consequence creep slowly along the dingy walls of my very being
penetrating like broken bullets
my spirit did not breath
set in a shadowy rap ease
then silence to allow lies to
become facts
blurring of reason i shifted my gaze and so it went forlorn yet beautifully lonesome
the morning the sun went down
i had to escape
just dream i dreamed the pain and struggle
suspended upon the unseen river of shame
a quiet high reflecting life's forces
i dreamed a deep appreciation
more silence for a long time i could see nothing
then dark shadows turn softer before falling over the edge of my world
i tremble as my spirit rose in a ceremony heralding some inexorable splendor
and both passage of time and the sense of the
unchanging
is it that i confess the heart has its reasons
of which reasons know nothing.
