Artist Biography Rozlyn Cowham Studied fine art at Somerset CAT University UK, and shortly afterwards moved to Palma de Mallorca where after a break of several years due to family life, she re- found her love for art and poetry whilst meandering through the plethora of uniquely atmospheric narrow streets of Palma, and observing the delightful moorish and Spanish architecture which rejuvenated in her the passion to paint, and to express once again her observations on to canvass. and paper In Australia in her very early years there where signs of a keen capacity of observation, especially in and amongst all things in nature. She was an avid collector of flowers, pebbles and fallen leaves, all of which were intermixed and deafly assembled into collages esthetically pleasing to the eye. During the passing of her school years, her interest shone in art, and poetry and she was a keen sports women, being adapt in swimming and gymnastics, from which much of her figurative style developed from observations of the lines and movement in the human form which is now embodied in much of her earlier works. How ever it wasn’t until a fellow painter and friend recognized the adroit use of paint on canvass she commanded, exuding an unborn talent which perhaps was hitherto hidden behind an unaffected character. Then followed three years of art school which opened her mind to all forms of the esoteric and familiar techniques of which you can see in her work today.)
