Raindrops stream down my windowpain,
a mirror image of the tears which moisten
my cheeks, as i look out my window on
this cold gray day, overwhelming the sence
of cleansing rain waters bring with it.
Renewal of my faith in spite of obvious pain,
just then a bird lands on the barbwire, meant
to keep me in, so effortlessly he springs aloft
air currents leaving this place behind, lessons
come to us from the strangest places, at the
most improbable times.
In my mind im as free as that beautifull bird,
able to leave this place whenever I choose,
outside mudpuddles collect the rain, just as
my sweatshirt catches yet another tear, were
all quite unique, what a wonderfull gift.
