Let A Man Live Free Poem by Scott Stevenson

Let A Man Live Free

Rating: 2.3

let a man believe in his body
let a man live free
for his own gain
let him make scenes, changes, and mistakes
let a man be useful to himself

let him build forward beyond his place
brick by brick, day by day
give him tools to dig and probe for information,
higher understanding, higher knowledge,
a better sense of self
give them up, and let him work
let a man walk and dream
and feel the pulse of time throughout
feel the silver sunlight
feel the cold after the snow

let him see the root of good and evil
let him choose
let him count all his tender blessings
and appreciate their significance
let a man up off the ground
when the dark sides of life kick sand in his eyes
let a man grow and learn
when ignorance tries to take his mind
let him be strong when he needs it,
be amorous in all his actions,
be remembered for charisma and faith,
and the gold he gives away

let a man be peaceful
to not let panic shake him
let a man prosper and respect his earth
let a man out into the wind,
where he feels the breath of angels
let his path be shown,
and let him take his time
and let him see what he was made to do
